Sri Sathya Sai Baba Avatar

Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai are One and the Same
By Arjan D. Bharwani

24. 'PSY'- GOES THE SAI WAY

Dr. Samuel Sandweiss, the author of the famous book "Sai Baba, the Holy Man and the Psychiatrist" has described the unique experience as follows:

In February 1977, when he along with two of his colleagues had come to visit Sri Sathya Sai at Prasanthi Nilayam, they were granted an interview Bhagavan received them with the warmth of an affectionate and gracious smile and spoke to them, "Psychiatry doesn't know the way to God-Realisation; it only studies the mind. But there is reality beyond the mind, a reality that is boundless; beyond time; infinite in dimension. The colour of that which cannot be measured is blue - like the blue of the sky and the blue of the ocean. Blue is cool and calming -- see the three doctors are all wearing blue. The three doctors were indeed wearing blue shirts, observing which they were overjoyed. Bhagavan continuing His discourse said, "Shirdi Baba wore a ring at the time of His Maha-Samadhi. The colour of the stone in the ring was blue, the colour of the infinite and boundless - and in the stone was engraved the symbol of 'OM', the inner reality which is fathomless". Saying this Baba circled His Divine hand in the air and from the imperceptible and inexhaustible store-house produced the ring before the three psychiatrists and facing them said, "See "' For the three of them this was really a moment of wonderment and miracle. The three doctors not only began comprehending the Divine Reality as revealed to them by Baba, but also were amazed at the Divinely blissful and miraculous manner in which He had demonstrated it to them. They also experienced Bhagavan's love which is indeed all compassing and fathomless in reality. Thereafter, all the three of them, in turn, took the ring in their hands and reverentially touched the same to their foreheads. The experience of that priceless moment kept their hearts filled to the brim with the ecstasy of Divine Bliss for a long time.
