Sri Sathya Sai Baba Avatar

Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai are One and the Same
By Arjan D. Bharwani

22. LEELA WlTH LEELA!

Kumari M. L. Leela, M.A., a Professor of Botany for 30 years at Guindy, Madras, has narrated her personal experience in a article in March, 1975 issue of Sanathana. She says, "He is Sai Baba of Shirdi in the Form of Sathya Sai of Parthi... He has shown His previous Roopa to many and to me. He gave us Shlrdl Sai's Pada Impressions with His own sweet beautiful Lotus Feet on a silken cloth. He has identified places of visit; articles He had used as Shirdi Sai; has recollected and narrated the direct speeches, incidents of Sai to the astonishment of old devotees like the Rani of Chincholi who were the devotees of both the old Roopa and this.  Oh! doubtful human mind ' Does Sathya Sai gain any additional glory by calling Himself as Shirdi Sai incarnation. No! His glory becomes secondary, why? He can shine as one more of those primary avatars and there is accommodation for Him in our Bharatiya Dharma! Even the great Bhakta Hanuman himself disowned Lord Krishna as the incarnation of Sri Rama. He believed only when Lord Krishna showed him Rama Roopa". Kumari Leela goes on to write here, "I recollect an instance that gave a shock and thrill to me, when I was a student. One Thursday I was garlanding the idol of Shirdi Sai in my puja room. As I was doing so, suddenly the cloth which was wound close on the head of Shirdi Sai shook violently and became the curly haired head of Sathya Sai ! I dropped the garland with horripilations in my body and perspiring profusely, with tears of joy and shock I ran out of my puja room calling out for my mother! These 35 years Bhagavan has been protecting me with His Divine shield, just as He (Lord Krishna) helped the Pandavas as a boatman in crossing the Rana Nadi of Mahabharatha War. He is guiding me and lifting me from the mire of the ocean of the Samsara".
