Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai are One
and the Same

13. THE CONFLUENCE AT CHINCHOLI
The Maharaja of Chincholi was an
ardent devotee of Shirdi Sai. Every year the Maharaja used to
spend two or three months at Akalkot and Shirdi along with other
like-minded people.
After the demise of her husband, the
Rani of Chincholi heard about Sri Sathya Sai. She came to
Puttaparthi and prayed to Baba to visit Chincholi and Hyderabad.
Granting her prayers when Baba went to these places, He retold
accurately every instance pertaining to all things and places,
that had happened during His visit there as Shirdi Sai. He
inquired from the Rani about a stone idol of 'Anjaneya (Hanuman)'
and later Himself located the same in the presence of everybody.
He also spoke about an idol of Shirdi Sai, kept at a particular
place in the palace. Needless to say it was discovered at the
exact locale. This conclusively proves and ascertains without
doubt that Sathya Sai is the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai. Soon
thereafter Baba departed for Parthi. Within a few days of this
historic event followed yet another astounding and supernatural
disclosure. This time, the Rani sighted a brass kamandalu (vessel)
around which was coiled a live cobra. The Rani offered with
devotion, ritualistic puja to the serpent (Naag Devta). It
occurred to the Rani that the reptile was guarding the kamandalu
and therefore sheattached great importance to the article.
To clarify the mystery from Baba,
she brought the kamandalu to Parthi. As soon as she arrived there,
she received a message from Baba, "When you come to see Me, you
must bring along the vessel from which I used to drink water". She
carried the kamandalu to the Divine presence. Baba showed it to
all the devotees present there and pointed at the writing 'SAA'
and'BAA' that were engraved on it (Saa==Sai, Baa==Baba). Vedic
injunctions prescribe the use of 'karaki (vessel containing
water)', of a particular phototype during the performance of
yajnas. Till to-date this kamandalu has been used in all the Veda
Purusha Sapthah Jnana Yajna' during the Navrathri celebrations at
Parthi. The wonder is that the vessel fulfills all the requisite
details of the 'Vedic Karaki'.
It is a testimony of the household
staff at the palace and also of the Rani herself that Shirdi Baba
used to come often for two or three days stay with the Maharaja.
The two of them used to go riding a horse-cart (tonga) the
country-side. It was said that even today this tonga is preserved
at Parthi. Naturally, some readers may begin to doubt as to how is
it that Shirdi Baba, who had never left Shirdi beyond its
outskirts, could be associated with being at Chincholi in
Hyderabad (Deccan). However, it must be remembered that when Baba
was at Shirdi simultaneously He was seen to be physically present
at Dahanu in Thane District, at Hasrishchandra well at Bombay, at
Junagadh and likewise at Chincholi also.
In an artilcles Smt. Nagamani
Purnaiya has narrated that she has herself seen Shirdi Baba's robe
and hukkah at Chincholi. Once she accompanied Parthi Baba to that
place. She bears witness to Baba directing some people to a
particular house, giving them the details of the interior. The
minutia were found precisely identical with the description.
