Prashanthi Bulletin - June

June 18th, 2005
Here we are again with great good news!! Swami is back at
Parthi. It all started at around 10.45 a.m. this morning when
some of us received the message that Swami was about to start
for Parthi. However, we were not very sure whether this was
authentic news or just one of those rumours! But then to our
delight at 11.00 a.m. we got the information from reliable
sources that Bhagawan had indeed left Brindavan just then.
Oh what a surprise! Once again there was hustle and bustle all
around. Toranams (Garlands) and Banners started going up at the
gates and across the road near the Mandir. Possibly, by now the
local Samithi members were trained to handle such surprises!
Therefore, in just two hours the whole road was filled with
colourful Rangolis and flower toranams (garlands) tied across
the width of the road.
By 1.30 p.m. we were all moving towards the Mandir. The Vedam
group was ready, clad in red Dhoti and white Angavastram (top
covering) near the Gopuram Gate. School children were also
positioned there with flowers in their hands to bedeck the path
as Bhagawan's car would come along. Yet another team of school
boys was ready to swing into action with their Bhangda dance to
welcome the Lord.
At sharp 2.00 p.m. the silver coloured Mercedes Benz made its
appearance at the Gopuram gate. A loud Omkaram filled the air as
the Vedam students started their chanting. They rendered the
Ganesha Atharva Shirshopanishad, as they marched along leading
the car into the Kulwant Hall. Simultaneously, the welcome song
written and composed by the Institute students, burst forth
through the dozens of speakers in the Kulwant Hall. There was
joy and cheer all around! Our Lord was back Home once again!
The car made a brief halt near the centre of the Hall. We could
see Swami seated inside the car bright as the sun and with a
smile - cool as the moon! He was watching all the students and
devotees straining to catch a glimpse of His Divine Form. As the
car halted, the Pujari came forward along with some teachers and
Aarti was given. The car proceeded towards the Poornachandra
Hall.
By 3.40 p.m. Swami was already out again, now in the Toyota
Porte. He had taken a round along the interview room and the
Portico and had gone out the main gate to some place inside the
Mandir Premises. The car re-entered the Mandir and the Vedam
chanting began once again. Swami was sitting in front with
brother Satyajit maneuvering the car next to Him. The car turned
towards the Poornachandra. Oh! Would He go back so soon? Our
hearts were yearning to have a longer glimpse.
To everyone's joy, the car went towards the Ladies side and then
took a turn towards the interview room. The car halted near the
interview room and the automatic chair made its mechanical
manoeuver to enable Swami to exit the car. Brother Nitin Acharya
wheeled the chair / sofa towards the stage. The sofa was
stationed on the stage, but near the Primary School children.
The moment Swami sat there, the Primary School Children raised
their voice and started chanting Vedam so loudly, that it almost
shook the entire Hall!
Swami's face looked bright as ever and His loving glance fell on
all seated around. He sat there for just a few minutes and then
turned around to face the Vedam students who were seated in
front with their red Dhotis. Swami looked at them lovingly and
Blessed them. Then the sofa was wheeled into the interview room.
Hardly a few minutes elapsed and Swami came out and proceeded
into the Bhajan Hall.
All students rushed into the Bhajan Hall. In fact the whole
Kulwant Hall with all devotees and students appeared like a
mighty river gushing to merge into the ocean. All were rushing
to get a close look at Swami. Thirsty eyes longed for His
Glimpse but at the same time were drenched with drops of His
Love. It was a sight to see. We all had truly missed Swami for
so long!
After a minute or so, the sofa was wheeled out again and now
Swami got into the car. The compassionate Lord chose to drive
through the Portico and move amidst the Gents section. All sat
covering the pathway on both sides and Swami looked at everybody
showering His Love and Grace. The car glided along slowly,
enabling one and all to have His Darshan. By 4.15 p.m. Swami had
crossed the Kulwant Hall gate and moved towards the
Poornachandra.
There we could see Swami entering the new building for a short
while. Minutes later He came out again and proceeded to His
abode - the Poornachandra. Saturated with this brief but yet
loving and wonderful Darshan, we sat enjoying the cool breeze!
Yes, Nature too had begun its welcome song! At 5.00 p.m. Bhajans
began and at 5.30 p.m. Aarti was given.
