About the Golden Age
What is the New Era of Truth (Satyha Yuga), or Golden Age? Sathya
Sai Baba declared on June 9, 1974:
"For this Sai has come in order to achieve the supreme task of
uniting the entire mankind, as one family through the bond of
brotherhood, of affirming and illumining the Atmic reality of each
being in order to reveal the Divine thatis the basis on which the
entire cosmos rests, and of instructing all to recognize the
common divine heritage that binds man to man, so that man can rid
himself of the animal, and rise into the Divine, which is his
goal."

This is the Sathya Yuga, the Golden Age. There cannot be an exact
date, and it is not a mere matter of calendar. It is a matter of
consciousness. The Golden Age will begin when men will change
their hearts, the day when the humanity will be unified as one big
family observing the principles of Truth, Righteousness, Love,
Peace and Nonviolence. Will the men follow the teaching of the Sai
Avatar? Will the men change their consciousness and follow
spiritual principles? Then a new era will begin. No one know if
this will happen in 100, 1000 or 5000 years.
Howard Murphet writes:
"His
[Sai Avatar] mission is to raise the consciousness of people in
the world. When enough of them have evolved, it will bring about a
quantum leap in the consciousness of humanity, and thus start the
new Age of Truth (the Sathya Yuga)."

About the catastrophe predictions
Sathya Sai Baba has never made such catastrophe predictions. In
the late 1970's circulated in the ashram a paper in which 18
so-called "students" of Sai spread catastrophic "prophecies" about
the future of the world. They are completely false. Sai Baba has
never made such predictions.
The discourse of Bhagavan Baba on Feb. 13, 1991 is for all
practical purposes a message repudiating the reports circulated in
various countries attributing to Him predictions of various
disasters facing the world in the following years:

In Sanathana Sarathi, September 1997, pp. 248-249 Dr. Goldstein
wrote:
"From time to time, reports are exemplifying the universal human
values, circulated that Swami has predicted some great world
catastrophes. These reports are false! Swami has said that he will
never make predictions of this kind.
There are unscrupulous people who thrive on the fear and panic
that are caused by these reports of impending calamities. These
people generate or encourage these false rumours and then offer a
panacea that treats the terror that they have created through
their deceit and /or irresponsibility.
These predictions of imminent dangers and disasters do not come
from Swami! Let us replace this nonsense with common sense and
faith in Bhagavan."
